Do I get charged if my client doesn't complete their verification?

How APLYiD billing works for incomplete, failed, and restarted verifications

Updated yesterday

Here’s how APLYiD charges apply for different verification outcomes.

Client does not complete the verification
If a verification link is sent but the client does not open it or does not complete the process, you are not charged. Charges only apply once a verification is completed and a result is returned.

Client starts but does not finish
If the client starts the verification but does not complete it, you are not charged. The check will remain in the system (e.g. in Created or In Progress) and can be deleted or left to expire.

The check fails
If a client completes the verification but the result is Fail, the check is still charged. This is because the verification process was completed and a result was generated.

I need to resend the link to the same client

If you resend the same verification link using the resend function, no additional charge applies. A charge will only apply if a new check is created. If you delete an existing check and create a new one for the same client, this is treated as a new verification and will be charged accordingly.

Can I reuse a previously verified client?

If you need to verify a client again at a later date, a new check will need to be created and a new charge will apply. Previous verifications cannot be reused, as up-to-date checks are typically required for compliance purposes.

Where can I see my usage and charges?

Log in as a Company Admin and go to Preferences → Reports to generate a usage report. See How to generate a usage report for step-by-step instructions.
