Welcome to APLYiD — a fast, simple platform for biometric identity verification and AML/KYC compliance. This article walks you through what APLYiD does and how to get started quickly.
What is APLYiD?
APLYiD verifies the identity of your clients using:
Document scan — the client photographs their passport or driver licence
Liveness check — a short facial recognition step to confirm the person is physically present
Database checks — the client’s details are checked against PEP, sanctions, and adverse media databases to support AML/CTF compliance
The whole process takes around 90 seconds for the client, entirely on their mobile phone — no app download required.
How to complete your first verification
Log in at https://app.aplyid.co.uk/
Go to Biometric → Verify
Enter your client’s full name, mobile number, and a reference (your internal identifier)
Click Send — the client receives a unique verification link via SMS or email
The client opens the link, scans their ID, and completes the liveness check
You will be notified when the check is complete. Go to Biometric → Completed to view and download the result
Tip: Download and store verification reports promptly. Once checks are archived, they cannot be retrieved.
