My integration isn't working (OneLaw, Rex, Zapier, FormsByAir and others)

Troubleshooting APLYiD Core integrations with OneLaw, Rex, finPOWER, Zapier, FormsByAir and other systems.

This guide is for APLYiD Core (support.aplyid.com). If you use APLYiD Workflow with a real estate CRM (e.g. Rex, Vault, Eagle or Box and Dice), see the Workflow help centre. If you're a developer building your own connection, see Why isn't my APLYiD API integration working? For how to set up an integration, see Integrating with APLYiD.

Quick answer

First, check whether the verification shows in the APLYiD portal.

  • It's not in APLYiD, or it's still in Created: your client hasn't finished it yet, or the integration didn't send it. Check your API credentials and settings below.

  • It's completed in APLYiD but not in your system: contact your integration provider (e.g. OneLaw, Rex or finPOWER). They manage how results come into their system.

Which systems connect to APLYiD Core?

APLYiD Core connects with several practice management, CRM and other systems, including:

  • Actionstep

  • Apex27

  • AutoConvert

  • finPOWER

  • Legal Office

  • OneLaw

  • Rental Car Manager

  • Reapit

  • Rex

  • Salesforce (via connector)

  • Spinika

  • Storman

  • Street

  • Vigilance

  • Zapier and FormsByAir

How to connect a system to APLYiD

  1. In APLYiD, go to Preferences > Developers and copy your API Key and Secret.

  2. Contact your system provider (e.g. OneLaw or your practice management system) for their guide to connecting APLYiD, and give them your credentials as they ask.

  3. That's it. Your provider finishes the setup on their side.

If we need to set anything up on our side first (e.g. for OneLaw), contact us and we'll let you know when it's ready.

Common problems

What you see

What to do

The verification shows as complete in your system, but not in APLYiD

Check Biometric > Created. If it's there, your client hasn't finished it yet. See My client says they've finished, but I can't see their verification. Where is it?

It's completed in APLYiD, but the result or documents aren't in your system

Contact your integration provider with the verification reference. They manage how results are pulled into their system.

"Bad credentials" or the connection stops working

Check the API Key and Secret in your system match Preferences > Developers. If you've added Allowed IPs or Allowed domains there, everything else is blocked, including your provider. Add your provider's IP address, or contact us.

Your system can't download the report, or it's already archived

If someone downloads the report from the APLYiD portal first, the verification is archived 1 hour later, and your system may not be able to get it. Let your system download the report, or upload the PDF to it yourself. See Can I get back a check that's been archived?

The result went to the wrong record in your system

Check the reference used when the verification was sent matches the record in your system.

The same client has two verifications

Your system may have sent the verification twice. Contact your integration provider.

OneLaw

  • Before you go live, contact us so we can set up your connection. We'll tell you when your API Key and Secret are ready in Preferences > Developers. Then contact OneLaw to finish the setup.

  • If you use Allowed IPs, add OneLaw's IP address so OneLaw can connect.

  • Don't download reports from the APLYiD portal before OneLaw does. The verification is archived 1 hour after the first download, and OneLaw won't be able to get it.

Rex

  • APLYiD Core customers: use the API Key and Secret from Preferences > Developers to connect Rex.

  • APLYiD Workflow customers: you don't need an API Secret. See Rex + APLYiD Integration in the Workflow help centre.

Zapier and FormsByAir

First check the verification shows as completed in APLYiD. Results are only sent once your client finishes. If it's completed in APLYiD but nothing has arrived, contact us or the platform's support with the verification reference.

What to send us if you're still stuck

Contact us through live chat or support@aplyid.com with:

  • the system you're connecting (e.g. OneLaw)

  • the verification reference

  • what you see in APLYiD and what you see in your system

Never send your API Secret by email or live chat.
